These girls got caught in severe flooding in Norhtern Ireland. I know that a good picture can be worth a lot, but can't they help the girls that are clearly crying and scared instead of taking pictures of them???

If anyone says "They should help them take their clothes off so they can wrestle each other", he/she will be reported to the authorities.
Amen to that. The photographer probably used some excuse like it would hurt his journalistic experience by helping his subjects, ya know??
I always wondered about people who photograph people in distress. Do they lend a hand when the pictures are done?
The photographer probably tried to steal there bikes after he took the picture and turned off his camera.
Where is Carlos Mencia when you need him?
You again try to talk sense with the paparazzi???
That is heartbreaking. If some nut job took a picture of my girls suffering rather than help them...pray I get a short sentence!
No, you see, a journalist's or a photojournalist's job is to...
Yeah, I know - SHUT UP!. I think they should have helped them too. Then again, most of the photos that move you shouldn't have happened, because the guy taking the picture should be too busy helping the person on the photo instead of blinding them with their flash...
OMG, the poor lil' girl in Pink. It's a mad world I tell ya!
Surely they are actually crying because of the 1980's bike their mothers bought them and the pink shellsuit top the little one has to endure.
I want her Chopper, those bikes are cool! (jenny! you win (theres no prize, sorry) the most prolific poster award- you're on fire!)
Jenny.
I think you have the wrong location here. The girls are quite obviously Vietnamese boat girls making their way to the good life in Australia.
I am now a member of the Paparazzi and hoping to make a few quid flogging some decent pics to the tourists here.
Sam Kinison (the comedian) had a very similar skit to this. He talked about the film crew that went to impoverished nations to film the starving.
"they could have helped the kid out with a sandwich, ya know." "Don't feed him yet! It doesn't work unless he looks hungry!"
Sometimes we lose sight of what the real issues are and what really is important!

He he he! Perverts!
Michael C:
Some kind of it's an art and I am not suppose ot interact with the experience...just capture it! BS!
Hammer:
I would hope they do! My 1st insticnt when seeing someone in distress is to go help them...not wip out my camera and take pictures!
Captian:
Ha ha, what an asshole!
Cappy:
Calling Carlos! I love him...never fails to crack my ass up!
Yoda:
I know it's useless, but its not like they were taking pictures of celebs crotches...these were two young girls scared!
David:
Right, I was thinking about that after I posted it...I was like I hope their parents are pissed off! I would be...what the fuck!
Heart of Darkness:
I know...some of the pictures you see of devastation are aweful but at least there seem to be other people helping out, maybe there was someone helping them, just out of camera range.
Crashdummie:
That girl made me so sad...she looks so fricking scared!
James:
Your right, the floodwaters were probably jolly good fun, but those clothes...oh, bad bad bad!
Smartbuddy:
You would look super sexy pimpin that ride!
Why isn't there a prize??? That's the only reason to play!!!
Ratty:
Good luck wiht your new profession...will you post your pictures???
FlyinFox:
Yeah, its like we thrive on the sadness/poverty/destruction of others and take pictures of it...but does it really help them get happier/richer/revived???
Hope those bikes are insured against water damage!
Papparazzi are soulless!! They let Diana die. Why would they help anyone else.
People can be very insensitive. I felt the same way when Hurricane Katrina hit and the news kept showing shots of people on the roof of their houses with signs saying "help me" I could not help but think--The signs say HELP ME no FILM ME!!
Arrgh... just goes to show you why you can't trust the press!
How about the reporters and photographers that used to take pictures of the starving kids in Africa ... I mean can't they give them a sandwich or something.
I can just hear it now:
photographer ... "Oh boy, this kid looks bad, I think I got a sandwich here."
reporter ... "Don't give it to him yet, take the pictures first"
I used to be a journalist. It messes with your head.
Still, it wouldn't surprise me if the girls were paid -- "No, come on -- cry like you mean it! Someone's just told you the chip shop burnt down! Burberry have gone bankrupt! The off licence have sold out of cheap cider! Yes, that's it!"
Yoda:
It looks like time to buy them a more updated bike, maybe they are pushing them towards the floodwaters so they can get a brand new shiny bike!
Mike M:
They did, and they didn;t even get good pictures!!! WTF???
Let's Pretend:
I know, could they have at least dropped off blankets or food, even if they couldnt' have air lifted them.
Shibari:
They just keep giving us more ammunition to not believe what we hear and see.
Paul:
The things we do for a "good" picture...they probably ate their lunch in front of a dozen starving children....so mean!
FeverDog:
Get out!!! They do not do that...do they??? That is so cruel, thes pictures will tear at your heartstrings and they are just set ups????
oh is that flooding? I thought mebbe they had just pissed their pants....
I liked the cartoons. I hate when journalist interview families just after they have lost someone. Crazy!
Hahahahaha, oops, I wasn't supposed to laugh was I! LOL :]
